Don't Close that Tab!

Has this ever happened to you? You are working in Google Chrome and you accidently press that little 'x' and close a browser tab that you needed to keep open? There is a way to stop that from happening.

Right click on the browser tab you want to keep open without fear of accidentally closing it. From the menu that appears, click on the words "Pin Tab". The 'x' disappears from the tab! No more frustration of closing a tab you still need open!

To reverse this, just right click again and then select "Unpin Tab". The 'x' comes back and you can close the tab again.

How to translate any page in Google Chrome

One of the built in features of Google Chrome is that it can translate any page into other languages.  It's very simple to do, but I can't guarantee the translation will be entirely correct.  Simply go to the page you wish to translate, then right click, and click on translate.  It will then come up with some boxes at the top of the page where you can pick which language to translate the page.

Here is a step-by-step example: (click on them to make them larger)
Right Click on page you wish to translate and click on translate.

Next choose the language you wish to translate to.

The page will then be translated.

You can also choose to always translate by click on option and always translate.

Google Chrome

Welcome back to a new school year!  I know you have heard a lot about Google Chrome.  You've seen the emails encouraging you to use Chrome, but what is Google Chrome?  Google Chrome is simply an internet browser like Internet Explorer.  Google Chrome allows you to both search and/or input web address into the address bar.  Your bookmarks will transfer over from Internet Explorer, and the great part about Chrome is that it simply puts new pages you open up into tabs instead of opening all new windows.  If you see green videos while using Internet Explorer, simply switch over to Google Chrome and they will work fine.  Here is a short video on how to open chrome, transfer your bookmarks, and doing a simple search.
